Boho Inspired Kids styled photography shoot in Orange County

When you have two of the most adorable girls and a vision for a styled Boho inspired session what would you do!? Exactly!

With so many creative and inspiring ideas running through ours heads we couldn’t wait to make it come to life and San Juan Capistrano’s open field at that amazing golden hour made for a perfect canvas.  This shoot kind of reminds me of a Freepeople ad for kids doesn’t it?

We love the idea of incorporating a fun twist to your traditional family/kids session by just adding a couple cute props, personalizing the session will make it unique from the everyday family session you see above your friends fireplace mantels. Don’t get us wrong we love traditional families sessions but why not mix it up a bit?  Go for a styled shoot!

Another MUST DO was to create a fun and easy DIY, we chose to mix it up a bit with a little Native American twist. We will have this adorable DIY Headdress how-to posted next week, so be on the look out!  The fur was purchased from “Hobby Lobby” and we just folded it over a little belt.  Genius right!?! We also bought a hand made teepee from “PlayHaven” shop on Etsy, talk about adorable!  The blankets were actually borrowed from a few friends.  The adorable girls?  Well, lucky me!  Those are my very own little girls, Maxine is 2.5 years old and sweet little Marlowe is almost 9 months.

We are so excited to share this session with you, we hope that this makes you smile and of course get some of your own creative juices flowing for your next family session. And of course we are full of fun ideas and would love to help you make your vision come to life.

Enjoy
